Ochoco Moss Agate Cabochon

This ochoco moss agate cabochon is an ombre of colors that go from orangy-yellow to deep green to moss green. Free-form shape. Polished backed with beveled edges. Medium/large ring size. Coin in photo to help with size reference. 

Ochoco moss agate comes from the Ochoco Mountains in my home state in Oregon. This region produces some of the most prized semi-precious stones due to the volcanic activity that took place millions of years ago. The agate is known for its deep green and blue tones that look like a mossy forest captured within agate.
